Happy early Fourth of July! We’re sending our “Ways to Engage” series early this week and hope you find time to celebrate our nation’s birthday with your community and remember to share what’s at stake in our current moment with a wannabe king in the White House.
Yesterday, the Senate passed the Republican’s Big Ugly Bill by a vote of 51-50. This bill will give more to the richest Americans and corporations, while taking from those who have the least, including healthcare and food assistance. The bill now heads back to the House, and this is not a done deal.
Please read on for actions you can take to kill the Big Ugly Bill, as well as upcoming events, and other ways to get involved in this week’s “Ways to Engage” series from Alaska Forward!
